P1S
CAIBI EQUIPMENT ASSESSMENTBambu Lab

P1S

Enclosed 256 mm CoreXY FDM printer that extends the Bambu workflow into ABS and ASA while retaining high-speed automated printing.

CAIBI VERDICTThe P1S is the sensible Bambu step-up when enclosure is a current requirement. CAIBI would not pay the premium over an A1 for ordinary PLA/PETG alone, but ABS/ASA and enclosed-workflow needs change that calculation.
ACTUAL REVIEWS

What reviewers consistently found

2 independent sources
positive

Speed and quality

Independent testing supports the P1S as a genuinely fast printer that does not require sacrificing ordinary print quality.

positive

Enclosure value

The enclosure materially expands the sensible material range compared with A-series machines rather than acting as cosmetic future-proofing.

positive

Ease of use

Automatic calibration and the integrated Bambu workflow repeatedly reduce setup friction.

negative

Ecosystem openness

Proprietary parts and a more closed ownership model are real trade-offs against repairability-led alternatives.

negative

Multicolour waste

AMS enables useful colour workflows but conventional single-nozzle material swapping creates purge waste.

WHERE REVIEWS DIFFER

Reviewers broadly agree on performance. The buying disagreement is philosophical as much as technical: whether convenience and integration outweigh a more proprietary ownership model.
