A character display with offline animations, a clock and timer, housed in a modular printed body.

CAIBI’s proposed addition: Confirm the exact Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-1.75 and purchased file terms. Follow the creator build first; use the separate RoboEyes route for independently editable behaviour.

Start with the original

Paid creator build

Source inspected 10 October 2026. Listing includes STL/3MF, flashing instructions and compiled firmware, but explicitly excludes firmware source. Character variants are one build family, not separate projects. Not built or assessed by CAIBI.

From source to something you can finish

What the source provides: A paid creator package listing print files, assembly/flashing guidance and compiled firmware.

What still needs doing: Firmware source is excluded. Confirm the purchased licence and exact supported board before ordering.

Your first milestone: Inventory the package and flash the unchanged creator example before printing a whole character.

Prompts to move it forward

Check the source before buying
Review the source material I supply for Deskimon: print and assemble a desk companion. Make a table of what is provided, missing, contradictory or dependent on a paid service. Identify exact hardware revisions, firmware files, library versions, CAD files and licences. Separate creator claims from your proposed additions. Do not fill gaps with guessed specifications. Finish with one small test that can resolve the biggest uncertainty before I buy parts.

Plan the next step
I want to develop this idea: Deskimon: print and assemble a desk companion. Intended outcome: A character display with offline animations, a clock and timer, housed in a modular printed body. The source is https://creative-chance.com/products/poko-deskimon. CAIBI suggests: Confirm the exact Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-1.75 and purchased file terms. Follow the creator build first; use the separate RoboEyes route for independently editable behaviour. First inspect the source I supply. Separate what it already does from proposed additions. Ask for my actual board, parts, skill level and missing files. Produce a small staged plan with one bench test per stage. Do not invent pin assignments, dimensions or completed test results.

Design a measured enclosure
Help me design a practical enclosure for Deskimon: print and assemble a desk companion. First ask for measured component dimensions, mounting holes, connectors, cable clearance, ventilation and operating conditions. Suggest a printable or off-the-shelf approach. Begin with a fit-test piece before a complete case. Label assumptions and do not invent an enclosure rating.

Check and document the result
Create a test log for Deskimon: print and assemble a desk companion. Intended outcome: A character display with offline animations, a clock and timer, housed in a modular printed body. Separate expected behaviour from observed results. Include power restart, disconnected inputs, communication failure and the actual physical use. Ask me to provide results, firmware versions, changes, photos and unresolved problems. Never mark a test passed without my evidence.
