A substantive programmable Eurorack build for someone prepared for component soldering and modular-audio integration. Buying the full kit reduces sourcing ambiguity, but revision and platform compatibility still matter.

The full kit and PCB-only listings cover very different scopes. The full kit source includes Bela hardware; case, patch leads, regional delivery and tax may be additional. No complete UK/US delivered comparison is verified.
Lead and build time
The manufacturer describes an experienced builder’s afternoon for assembly. This is a source estimate, not CAIBI measurement, and excludes sourcing, unfamiliar setup and debugging.

Use the creator PCB and faceplate design for the exact revision. The current guide covers rev2 full kits after April 2022. Some photos show earlier resistor values; the current text and revision BOM take precedence.

Assembly and test route
Follow the creator’s detailed instructions at each stage. The sequence below identifies the decisions and checks that connect them.
- Choose full kit or PCB-only route and check the contents against the revision BOM. Bela Mini and CTAG are not supported by the documented Pepper route.
- Follow the current component-placement and soldering sequence, checking values against the written BOM rather than older photographs.
- Align pots, jacks, LEDs and faceplate before final soldering so mechanical tolerances do not stress the board.
- Install the compatible Bela stack and follow the documented power and signal connections. Check polarity and continuity before power.
- Load the baseline example and test each control and audio/CV path within documented limits before developing your own patch.
Where AI helps
AI can explain Pure Data or code patches and help organise BOM checks. Solder quality, polarity, connector alignment and audio/CV limits remain builder responsibilities.
